Aid stations

Runners should plan to be more self-supported than they may be used to. Runners should bring their own means of refuelling hydration (handheld water bottle, hydration pack, belt, etc.) and nutrition. There is mandatory gear which we expect all runners to carry, however there will be no gear checks as we expect common sense to prevail.

Water will be every 5-7km. Exact locations will be available closer to the date in our comprehensive Event Guide. All aid stations will have hand sanitiser available and appropriate nutrition and hydration to minimise contact points and maximise safety.

There will be a post-race ‘grab & go’ refuel area at the finish line.

Presentations

There will be no race-day presentations to allow a constant flow through the event hub. Prizes will be provided after the event to our podium winners – 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male and Female of each distance.

Additional COVID-19 precautions

Social distancing

We ask each runner to practice social distancing at all times. When in line to pick up shirts, use the restroom, start the race, etc. please maintain 1.5m of distance between yourself and others. When passing on course, be sure and communicate to those you will be passing.

Sanitising stations

There will be hand sanitising on course at each aid point as well as at the event hub. Please sanitise at every opportunity you have.

First Aid

Our first aid team will be trained and briefed in COVID-19 precautions and will be following specific procedures in line with Government guidelines. For further detail please contact us.

Crowd control

We ask all runners to arrive no more than 20mins before their race and leave as soon as possible. We request runners to refrain from gathering in large groups or congregating around the start line until they begin their race. There will be separate start and finish lines to avoid group conversions, this is intentional to avoid congregation and intersection.

Other

If you feel unwell on race day and present with any symptoms of COVID-19 please do not attend, we strongly suggest seeking medical advice and testing. We also encourage all participants to download the COVID-safe App.

We understand the 2021 event may feel a little less party-like than previous years so we encourage our runners to enjoy their journey to the start line just as much as race day, then bask in the glow of completing such a spectacular race!
